ABOUT MICHAEL R. SPITERI

Michael started a new opportunity as a Project Manager in the Healthcare Industry, in April \'18. Most recently he concluded a 33 year career at TWDC and Disney/ABC TV Network. He served as Senior Manager of Mechanical/Electrical Operations for the 10 building campus in New York and one building in Washington DC. He also served as PM for operating and capital projects for both locations. In virtually managing the DC location, he also oversaw the Office Service team there. Hired in 1985, Michael worked his way up from an HVAC Operating Engineer by working hard, diligently and ambitiously taking over responsibilities/opportunities presented to him over his career with Disney/ABC. Promoted from operating engineer to Asst. Chief Engineer, Asst. Manager and Manager Mechanical and Electrical Operations, Michael\'s commitment to excellence in executing his duties, propelled him to Senior Manager Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Safety Operations for NY & DC. In his responsibilities, Michael oversaw the operating and capital budgets, payroll, scheduling and OT for the 100 person team in support of the 24/7/365 operation of ABC in NY & DC. He administered maintenance contracts, corrective and preventive maintenance requests, annual electrical emergency power tests, fire detection and suppression systems, labor negotiations, on boarding and off boarding employees and annual mandated NYC FD, DOB & DEP testing and filings. Michael was instrumental in responding to emergencies over the years. From floods, fires and power outages, he responded with his internal teams, outside vendors as well as city agencies, ensuring that the response and corrective actions were executed safely and expedisiously limiting any adverse effect on the network. Throughout his career, Michael worked with all the internal teams, different Business units, external vendors, State/City Agencies to reach strategic solutions that addressed complex issues in an amicable manner to all.
