About Michael R. Sesemann

Dr. Michael Sesemann received his dental degree in 1981 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry. He has been in private practice since that time with active memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Equilibration Society, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Society for Dental Aesthetics. After becoming an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in he became the 35th Fellow of the Academy in 2004. He currently serves as an examiner for the accreditation and fellowship processes after serving as Chair of Accreditation for the AACD from 2001-04. Dr. Sesemann was elected to be the Academy’s 23rd President, serving the organization in 20••••10. While maintaining a full-time practice in Omaha, Dr. Sesemann lectures internationally and has published several manuscripts on the techniques necessary for successful completion of the comprehensive restorative case. He enjoys being Adjunct Faculty and a past-Advisory Board member for the Kois Center (Seattle, WA) and he is a faculty member of the Beverly Hills Institute of Dental Esthetics after serving at the Dawson Center in a similar capacity from 2004-07. For written publications, Dr. Sesemann served as Associate Editor for Functional Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, as Section Editor (Restorative) for the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry and sits on the editorial boards of Inside Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, and the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. As founder of the Nebraska Institute of Comprehensive Dentistry, Dr. Sesemann strives to achieve a predictable synergy between esthetics and function. The result for the patient is excellent oral health, an attractive smile and long-term, functional satisfaction.
