About Michael Pratt

With over nine years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, I am passionate about advancing the scientific understanding and clinical application of natural and synthetic compounds that can modulate the human psyche and physiology. As a principal investigator at San Diego Strain Development (SDSD), I lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians who are studying the nature and utility of the cannabinoid entourage effect and the therapeutic potential of psychedelic medicine for various mental and neurological disorders. In my current role, I am responsible for designing and conducting preclinical and clinical studies, securing regulatory and IP support, coordinating psychotropic research topics, and providing scientific and diplomatic guidance in emerging markets. I leverage my skills and expertise in pharmaceuticals, cannabis, cell biology, plant genomics, and drug discovery and development to address the unmet medical needs and challenges of patients and consumers. I am also involved in several collaborative projects with other organizations and institutions, such as the Eicosanoid Clinical Research Institute, Desert Station Design Studios, and Global Pharmaceutical Standards and Logistics.
