My teaching focused on system design and control theory, with research interests in biomedical and marine engineering, as well as the maturation of our highly successful project-to-patent program which established the CGA Mechanical Engineering program as the largest patent holder in the entire Coast Guard.As of 2025 focused on robotics and data science research at the CG R&D Center while filling in to establish the Space Division of the CG Robotics and Autonomous Systems Program Executive Office (CG-RAS PEO)
