ABOUT MICHAEL PEARCE

I am currently the Director of Security and Resilience for Landsec PLC. We own and manage some of the most successful and recognisable property assets in the UK. Our portfolio is a diverse mix of offices, retail and specialist spaces in London and across the UK. Our development teams are planning and already building fantastic urban neighbourhoods.I have the privilege of strategically leading our brilliant security teams as they quietly go about the business of keeping us all safe and secure. I have also developed and lead a robust Resilience programme which enables us to continue to deliver amazing service regardless of the challenges faced.I am the Co-Chair of the Counter Terrorism Business Information Exchange (CTBIE). The CTBIE has Commercial, Government and National police leadership representation at its table. Each of our members is responsible for a sector subgroup, which extends our reach domestically and internationally. We work diligently to deliver projects in partnership with National Policing, which helps protect the UK from terrorism. We are directly engaged with the Home Office and NaCTSO in developing the Protect Duty.It is my privilege to work with a unique group of UK Govt, CT policing and industry leads in the challenge to make our publically accessible locations in the UK safer.I was the former UK lead for Crowded Places at the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, London. I held responsibility for the national development and delivery of counter terrorism protective security advice across UK industry. I also served as the Principal Security Advisor to the UK Parliament. I have extensive diplomatic skills and a wide network of support at both national and local level.I sit on a number National Policing Project Boards and consult directly with the Home Office and Homeland Security on legislative and policy matters. I hold a Graduateship in Counter Terrorism Management and am a member of the Business Continuity Institute. I\'m also a Non Executive Director of the UK Safer Business Network.
