I am currently the IT & EMR Manager at a Federally Qualified Health Care with 500 staff and patients in Tacoma, Washington. I post my resume as a first step in exploring the possibilities of employment in the IT Project Manager Position. My current position is responsible for management, budgeting, project management, creating IT policies of all IT and EMR systems. Since my arrival in April 2015 I have received a VIP award and a Quality Improvement award as I have led the IT and EMR staff in transitioning to new methods in interoperability, working to ensure that reporting in a pay for performance environment is accurate and useful for both management and patient care, as well as revamping an antiquated network into a modern hybrid cloud/on premise network. Along with interfacing with management and providers, I have led many varied projects that include, analyzing and streamlining processes for capturing and reporting data in the EMR system. I have modernized their environment by introducing virtualization and using a hybrid cloud/ on-premise strategy to take advantage of current technologies in a cost-effective manner. Other projects include upgrading their wireless networking, moving to Office 365, Upgrading the Citrix Environment, transitioning to ICD10 medical coding, as well as successfully expanding clinics for medical, dental and pharmacy. I have also worked on the federal governments meaningful use incentive program for EMR implementation at both my current position and former position and have experience with their audits as well as government audits of healthcare facilities.
