My responsibilities include:Strategy & Policy Development: Designing and implementing global trade compliance policies aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to integrate compliance into core business processes and drive operational improvements.Operational Oversight: Managing a high-performing team and overseeing import/export operations, including classification, valuation, country of origin determination, sanctioned party screening, export jurisdiction, and licensing.Risk Management: Conducting risk assessments, audits, and investigations; implementing corrective actions to strengthen compliance programs.Leadership & Development: Providing strategic direction, mentorship, and training to build a culture of compliance and excellence.Since February 2023, I have played a key role in fulfilling obligations under a U.S. State Department Consent Agreement and a U.S. Commerce Department Settlement Agreement. I have led remediation efforts and enhanced ITAR and EAR compliance programs through robust policies, training, communication, internal controls, and technology solutions.
