ABOUT MICHAEL NORTHROP
With over 25 years experience in the insurance industry, Mike originally joined Iron Trades Insurance, now QBE, in July 1996 straight from Law School. Initially specialising in Asbestos Related Disease claims adjusting, Mike moved to manage the Leeds based Southern Liability claims team of internal adjusters in Jan 2001 before taking up the role as Regional Claims Manager in Dec 2002. In this role Mike managed a team of home based liability claims inspectors who were geographically and strategically located throughout the North of England. Mike\'s role also encompassed client servicing, setting up (and monitoring) claims procedures and SLAs with policyholders, conducting claims reviews, claims defensibility audits and delivering accident investigation/claims process related presentations. Mike’s last role within QBE was as a cross class Claims Relationship Manager working closely with QBE’s major policyholders and major trading partners. Mike started a new role as Senior Claims Executive, Vice President, with Marsh on the 11th of January 2021.
