ABOUT MICHAEL NGUYEN
Michael Nguyen is the Executive Director of Teach For America – Milwaukee. Teach For America is a national AmeriCorps organization that has a diverse network of leaders who confront educational inequity by teaching for at least two years and then working in every sector to fight this injustice. The Milwaukee region help alumni maximize their impact in schools and systems towards providing a high quality education for all students. Formerly, Michael served as Chief of Staff and interim CEO at Carmen Schools of Science and Technology, a network of five public elementary, middle, and high schools. Michael also previously served as the Senior Managing Director for Teacher Leadership Development at Teach For America - Milwaukee, principal at St. Anthony Middle School and a teacher at St Anthony School and Dr. Benjamin Carson Academy in Milwaukee. Michael was a 2009 Teach For America - Milwaukee corps member and graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Michael holds an M.Ed. from Marquette University and Wisconsin state licensure in Education Administration and Curriculum and Instruction from Alverno College.
