I have been working on the service side of the Event Industry for the majority of my career. I have intimate knowledge of agencies, service providers and venues in North America and worldwide. I am familiar with current trends in the industry and the value of maintaining current relationships.I am familiar with contract negotiation and management of suppliers. I am comfortable being an operations voice in a creative environment. The live event industry is a deadline driven business, no different than televised events on a specified schedule. Delivery on commitments must be managed to the timeline and budget to be successful. These skills translate across the spectrum of marketing engagement. My career path has led me from Theatrical Production to Event fabrication, Project Management and Estimating. I have a deep understanding of collaboration among various teams. I have been collaborating with individuals of various disciplines my entire professional career. I believe that working in a team environment produces the best results.I have a drive to learn, lead and innovate which I demonstrated during my career with Impact. From being called on to mentor Project Managers during a merger, hire and coach a counterpart manager at a satellite location, I was frequently called on as a leader and stabilizing influence with the larger Project Management team. My management experience extends to creating SOPs for multiple office locations, developing career path milestones for team members and participating in the development of corporate level policies and procedures. I am familiar with in-person as well as remote management of a team. My responsibilities have included local direct reports, staffing in Las Vegas, mentoring and leadership of a team in Toronto. I was also fortunate to have a direct report in Switzerland and in London to support Global projects.I am equally comfortable discussing projects with associates as presenting data and solutions to C-Suite executives. I am familiar with partner management and development, contract negotiations, Master Services Agreements and relationship building. I consider myself a skilled negotiator. Not strictly for financial negotiations but also for conflict resolution.
