About Michael Mitchell

As an original co-founder of The Big Four Foundation several years ago with a few of my old high school friends, we are excited to move into official charity status. We have helped so many people that tend to fall through the cracks of our local charities. We also have a golf outing fund raiser every year for a special family that is usually brought to us when they need help. Last year we helped Hayden Weiskittel and his family with their medical expenses while Hayden recovered from a heart transplant and battled lymphoma. This year we are going to be helping a family that needs help with expenses surrounding their 10 year old son Carson\'s surgery for a cavernous angioma in his brain. This job is more in my wheel house of what I love to do, and that is to help other people. I have been blessed to be the pastor at DeGraff UMC for the past two years and in July 2018 I am also the new pastor at Maplewood UMC. It is always challenging and always a blessing to be at the front of a church. My goal is to equip the saints for life in the world, not to build big churches. I want to be a motivator for the people that God loves, and that is everyone I come in contact with.
