I\'m an attorney with Koukol, Johnson, Schmit & Milone, LLC, in Omaha, Nebraska. My practice is varied, but I like to focus on commercial litigation, including: banking and credit union law, collection, repossession, foreclosure, UCC issues, loan servicing, Truth in Lending and Bank Secrecy Act compliance, business and individual bankruptcy, creditors\' rights, FCRA, TCPA, ECOA, and FDCPA compliance, interpleader actions, construction issues, and indemnity, bond, and surety claims. I also handle a wide array of general civil litigation, including family law disputes, contested protection orders, non-compete disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, and appeals. I\'m licensed to practice in Nebraska state courts, Iowa state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nebraska, and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. I have frequently acted as local or outside counsel for businesses, lenders, and national law firms looking for assistance with commercial disputes in Nebraska and Iowa.Over the last few years, I\'ve had the privilege of litigating a number of commercial fraud, theft, and embezzlement cases, both in civil and criminal courts.
