ABOUT MICHAEL MATHESON MILLER

Michael Matheson Miller is the Chief of Strategic Initiatives and Senior Research Fellow at the Acton Institute. He is the Director of the Center for Social Flourishing and the PovertyCure Initiative and the Director and Producer of the award winning documentary film Poverty, Inc. He is a Distinguished Fellow at the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship at CUA School of Business, and the host of the Moral Imagination Podcast. He was the director and host of the PovertyCure Video Curriculum Series and the director and producer of The Good Society Series, and the Gospel of Work Series. With some ten years of international experience, Michael has lived and traveled in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.Michael lectures internationally on such themes as philosophy of the human person, political and social philosophy, economic development, ethics and entrepreneurship. He has been featured on, CNBC, FOX Business, Econ Talk and numerous radio shows. He has been published in The New York Post, The Washington Times, The LA Daily News, The Detroit News, Catholic World Report and Real Clear Politics. and has appeared in various video curricula including Doing the Right Thing, a six part series on ethics. Previously he was the Director of Media and the Director of Programs and International at the Acton Institute and taught philosophy and political science at Ave Maria College in Nicaragua where he was the chair of the philosophy and theology department.Michael has a bachelor\'s degree from the University of Notre Dame and graduate degrees from Nagoya University’s Graduate School of International Development (Japan), Franciscan University, and an M.B.A. Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Business. He serves on the board of the Dietrich von Hildebrand Legacy Project and the board of Sacred Heart Classical Academy in Grand Rapids, MI
