I believe that being a part of the helping field, Human Services, Social Services in the role of an agent of change for those seeking assistance is truly one of the greatest and noblest of career choices. Change occurs one person at a time saying to themselves, my life will not be defined by my current circumstances. Upon Graduating from ODU this December, I entered the addiction field, assisting those with opioid use disorder issues. This is a field that I am passionate about as well as being my purpose. I began working at Sellati (VBMC) an agency that manages treatment using MMT treatment. I am beginning a new chapter of my education beginning as a resident in counseling at Regent University in Jan. Of 22’ in their school of Psychology and Counseling.
