Program Accomplishments• 2017-18 finished with an overall record of 21-11, D2 NCAA Tournament South Region Semifinalist, Sunshine State Conference Tournament Semifinalist. • Defeated top-seeded Morehouse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament• 2017-18 ranked four consecutive weeks in the South Regional Rankings • NABC D2 National Team of the Week (Feb. 6th)• In three seasons 16 student-athletes won Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week awards. • Finished the 2017-18 season Nationally ranked 9th in scoring averaging (88.4) points per game• In three seasons five student-athletes achieved All-Conference, All-American or All-District status. • 2016-17 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award • In three seasons 20 student-athletes received the Sunshine State Conference Commissioners Honor Roll.• Received the NABC Team Academic Award in 2016 & 2017 • Five student-athletes received the D2 Athletic Directors Academic Achievement Award• Ranked 8th in Coachstat.net Top Men’s Basketball Assistant Coaches in all of NCAA Division II • Recruitment of Student-athletes • Primary recruiter in charge of evaluating prospective student-athletes during NCAA live periods. • Recruit nationally to find student-athletes who fit the academic, athletic, and social profile of a student-athlete at Florida Southern College. • Manage a recruiting database of 150 prospects• Responsible for extending scholarship offers to prospective student-athletes and finalizing annual recruiting classes.• In charge of establishing and maintaining contact with potential student-athletes via (telephone, email and social media) • Coordinate official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes. • Evaluate player performance, design and implement a year round player development program• In charge of working with the coaching staff to administer pre and post season individual workouts. • Conduct and schedule film study sessions with student-athletes.
