About Michael Mahan
With over 30 years in the yachting industry, I\'ve seen luxury yachting evolve from a niche leisure activity to a global powerhouse. I began my career running yachts in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and US East Coast, then transformed Wayfarer Marine into a top marina as its President. In 1997, I transitioned into yacht brokerage, excelling in large yacht sales and project management. Recognizing the need for innovation, I co-founded Worth Avenue Yachts in 2011 with Brian Tansey. Our team-based approach pools all brokers\' knowledge and contacts, selling yachts nearly three times faster than the competition. Today, Worth Avenue Yachts has grown to over 70 employees and is one of the top brokerage houses for yacht sales and charters in the world. This journey, from crewing yachts to leading a successful brokerage, has been driven by my commitment to revolutionize the industry.
