ABOUT MICHAEL LYONS

I’m an Occupational Therapist turned health-tech strategist with a background in neurorehabilitation. Over 7 years across acute care, inpatient rehab, and home health, I learned how recovery actually unfolds—messy, nonlinear, unique (read: human)—and how systems either support that or get in the way. That lens shapes the way I work in tech. I’m drawn to health and medical technologies that feel seamless, dignified, and clinically meaningful. The solutions I believe succeed are the ones that honor both the neuroscience and the lived experience—the patient’s, the clinician’s, and everyone in between. My work at MicroTransponder only sharpens that: translating complex neuro concepts into clear, actionable communication and helping teams adopt new ways of thinking and treating. Because it\'s more than a device, it\'s a paradigm shift. I’m also an actor and writer, which means story, presence, and emotional intelligence are central to how I operate. I like building understanding, creating clarity, and connecting the imperative “why” behind a technology to the people it’s meant to help.I’m interested in advancing thoughtful, human-centered health-tech solutions that fit naturally into real lives and real workflows, and that ultimately expand what’s possible for people recovering from neurological injuries.*Views are my own and do not reflect the views of my employer.*
