ABOUT MICHAEL LUO
I am a Director in Mercer\'s Risk Transfer team. My specialism is supporting DB schemes assess the security and counterparty risk (e.g. financial strength and risk profile) implications of pension risk transfer transactions. Since 2017, I have provided insurer counterparty assessments on over 100 completed buy-in and buyout transactions. I also have experience in advising Trustees and Sponsors of Defined Benefit pension schemes on matters related to Employer Covenant during triennial valuations and corporate transactions (e.g. M&A, corporate reorganisation). Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (2016). Previous experience of advising corporate sponsors on managing their Defined Benefit pensions risk.
