Monitor state, federal, and local legislative and administrative developments- Build relationships with and serve as primary contact for our state and federal legislative delegation, both at the Capitol and field offices- Regularly visit and meet with appropriate elected officials to communicate University priorities- Coordinate federal Congressional Directed Spending project applications in partnership with University Chief of Staff and Chief Business Officer- Act as a liaison between the University and the University System of Georgia for matters of government relations- Work closely with internal communication resources to help develop and deliver regular university messaging and branding to state, federal, and local audiences- Attend events and meetings of local and regional community organizations, such as chambers of commerce and economic development entities, to help the University build mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships- Plan and execute in cooperation with key campus partners programming designed to engage stakeholder groups- Through strategic identification, qualification, and cultivation, build and manage a pipeline of prospects focused on five-figure gifts, with the flexibility to work in leadership annual giving range when warranted- Cultivate and steward donor relationships through regular communication and outreach events- Develop and maintain close collaborative partnerships with University faculty and staff to gain a strong knowledge of the academic and research programs in order to identify priorities to be funded through private and community support- Maintain the annual fundraising solicitation plan, including Give4Dreams- Oversee and support alumni engagement.
