ABOUT MICHAEL LEWY
I am a Boston-based artist working at the intersection of digital and analog media, exploring speculative futures, corporate dystopias, and surreal landscapes through augmented and virtual reality, video, photography, and sculpture. My work blends science fiction aesthetics with conceptual storytelling, often incorporating elements of lost media, failed utopias, and the absurdity of bureaucratic systems. I have exhibited internationally, with shows at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Greenhouse Berlin, the Pacific Film Archives, and the Sydney Museum. My book *Chart Sensation*, published by J&L Books, reimagines corporate infographics as cryptic visual poetry. I’ve also curated exhibitions, including *Alpha 60*, a sci-fi augmented reality show in Boston’s Emerald Necklace, and *Not of This Earth* at Boston Cyberarts Gallery. Public art projects include commissions for *Art on the Marquee* at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. My work has been featured in *The Boston Globe*,*Art Fuse*, and *WGBH’s Open Studios with Jared Bowen*, and I contributed an illustration to *The New York Times Book Review*.
