Oversee Equitable’s life underwriting risk philosophy and digital strategy. Management of the risk analyst team that monitors all underwriting guidance and Equitable’s accelerated underwriting processes to ensure mortality and pricing are within expectations. Multifunctional collaboration with various departments including but not limited to (Medical, Actuarial, Digital Solutions, Vendor Mangement and Product) to provide underwriting subject matter expert information on projects and initiatives. Tasked with identifying industry trends, legislative changes, or changes in mortality expectations and adapt accordingly. Manage and carry out various studies including underwriting requirement protective value studies, impact analysis of guidance changes, and competitive analysis. Ensure that Equitable’s guidelines are sound with our risk philosophy. Previous direct underwriting experience with a sign authority of and ability to interpret EKGs. As well as mentorship and coaching of less experienced underwriters to assist in their growth and development. Current designations: Certified FALU, FLMI,ACS.
