About Michael Kuperstein
Software engineer specializing in machine translation and AI since 2016, localization since 2001, writing code since 1983.Notable Accomplishments:• Lead developer and architect for a translation automation solution that has grown over a decade to process 1.9 million translation requests each year, including nearly all translated pages on Intel.com. The team received an IT division recognition award for an early version.• Responsible for single-handedly finding and reporting over internationalization defects in 2011, for an estimated cost savings of $8.6M. That was an epic year.• Lead developer of a C++ Windows application that is used for software localization, parsing files, and for building localized software. In 2025 the annual license savings was estimated at $60K per year. The application has been in use since 1995.• As an intern and new hire, my team developed an internal software e-purchasing and distribution application in 1995 that was in use until 2022. At a time when employees drove 30 minutes to the local electronics store to buy software and then submit expense reports, a single click to purchase and install software was incredibly cool and revolutionary.Experience Building Solutions:• 42 Years of Programming (C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, and many more.)• 24 Years of Globalization, Internationalization, Localization, Translation (GILT)• 9 Years of Artificial Intelligence (Training Machine Translation Models, LLM\'s, Prompt Engineering.)• IT Architecture and Integrations (Security, SLA\'s, ServiceNow, Technical Working Groups, MuleSoft, Bizzdesign.)• Content Management Systems (Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce.)• Data (SQL, MongoDB, Power BI, Analytics.)• Cloud and DevOps (Azure, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, GitHub, GitLab, TeamCity, TFS.)
