About Michael Koger
Project Manager for the NASA Lunar Exploration Ground Sites Task Order. I am responsible for all activities associated with designing, deploying, integration, and testing of Lunar Exploration Ground Stations in South Africa and Australia in support of NASA Lunar missions. Former National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) White Sands Complex (WSC) Site Manager for the NASA Space Relay (SR) with an active Secret clearance renewed in 2022. Successfully served as the WSC Site Manager for an organization composed of approximately 400-team members supporting the NASA Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract. I previously managed the SR Operations Department composed of 57 Union employees and 19 Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exempt employees. I routinely represented Peraton in Union Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. In addition, I have served as the (Acting) Spacecraft Engineering Group (SEG) Manager for 31 Tracking and Data Relay (TDRS) spacecraft engineers responsible for the health and welfare of 10 TDRS spacecraft, as well as the Hardware Maintenance Depot (HMD) Manager responsible for maintaining all SR ground station equipment. As a change agent, I made lasting process improvements (staffing, policies and procedures) in both departments which are still in use today. I have worked part-time as an Adjunct Professor certified to instruct 18 resident courses at the college level. Courses include: Management, Business and Information Technology programs of instruction. I regularly received praise from the Director of Education for knowledge, skills and abilities in instructing college level students.
