Company: Oxfordshire Highways Date of employment: Dec 2009–Aug 2012Description: When working for the highways deapartment i was a ganger my responsibilities were;• lease with council ascertains exact location and requirements for jobs.• Delagate jobs within my gang.• Ensure all jobs were completed within allocated time-scale and to a high standed• Sign maintenance – replacing damaged signs and installing new signs.• Gully emptying – driving a drainage tanker to maintain water dranage• Potholing – using hot and cold tarmac to fill and maintain the roads. • Salting/Snow ploughing – winter call out to salt and clear the highways of snowand ice.Company: Oxford and District building services Date of employment: Nov 2006-Dec 2009Description: O&D are a sub-contracted company employed by Oxfordshire highways. I joined as a fitter helping the mechanic with repairs and rebuilds of machinery. My main tasks were,• Servicing anything from a wacker plate to a class 2 HGV• Welding and respraying holes in rusted vehicles.• Plant repairs from split hydraulic hoses on 360 to replacing a blocked fuel line on a generator• Fitted and wired up lifting hoist to vehicles • Cleaning and polishing pool vehicles.Company: BMW Group plant Oxford Date of employment: June 2001–Nov 2006Description:I started at BMW in the re-work hall as a mechanic/technician. My main responsibilities were;• Finding and repairing damaged parts.• Reporting to surpplers about failing parts. • Carrying out electical and machical testing to ensuring evey car worked on was at BMW’s high standards.
