ABOUT MICHAEL KLEINFELT

My career in law enforcement in Central Florida has been extremely productive. I was the 2010 Florida Sheriff\'s Association, Deputy Sheriff of the Year for the State of Florida. In 2010 I received a nomination for the Florida Attorney General\'s Award. I have received numerous awards and recognition through my employer. During my career, I participated as a S.W.A.T operator, FDLE/DEA Task Force investigator, Mounted Patrol Deputy, Aviation Surveillance spotter, Field Training Officer, Sex Crimes Investigator, Court Service Deputy and a police drone pilot. I have collaborated and partnered with a variety of Federal Government agencies such as Homeland Security, Department of Defense, FEMA and FAA. On numerous occasions, I was a first responder to natural disasters and global pandemics. I have training and experience in Trauma-Informed interviewing, suspect interviewing, Major Case investigations, and case management as well as Field Training and Drone Operations. I am a licensed commercial drone pilot and a member of the sheriff’s drone team with a variety of missions flown. I hold a Merchant Mariner Certification from the United States Coast Guard.While attending the University of Central Florida, I was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success honors society and the Tau Sigma honors society.I own a photography business, I do a variety of photography. I photograph real estate, weddings and sports photography and more, just to name a few. Photography is my “side hustle” and what I like doing that’s not related to law enforcement during my time off.
