ABOUT MICHAEL KENNEDY

I am a goal oriented team member with a passion for the Oil & Gas Industry who is dedicated to developing myself as an invested member of the community, innovative worker, and confident leader. My main joy in life is lifting others up, and to be a part of an effective team. My core values are integrity, ingenuity, positivity, and service, and believe that these values allow me to contribute not only to my team but also the community supporting it. I am willing to take on challenges outside my comfort zone and always strive to maintain discipline, work ethic, and professionalism. My background in the Oil and Gas industry is focused on Upstream and Midstream assets, but I have experience in reservoir studies all the way to refining. In my career so far, I have been able to gain hands-on experience that is very diverse. My Chemical Engineering degree gave the tools needed to work as a Facilities / Process Engineer. I have worked with Production Facility and Gas Processing Facility simulation, design, construction, troubleshooting, and optimization. My Masters in Petroleum degree gave the the tools to work as a Operations / Production Engineer and understand downhole operations. My graduate training has focused on Reservoir Engineering, Field Development Planning, and Production Engineering. This broad view of the industry gives an understanding that helps with communication across many divisions, and allows me be a very flexible and effective problem solver. My favorite pursuit in recent years is developing myself into an effective communicator and leader through involvement in Toastmasters. I am currently working on finishing the qualifications to receive my P.E. license in May 2019.
