About Michael Kauth
Dr. Kauth is a clinical psychologist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine. He recently entered the Senior Executive Service in VA and was appointed the Executive Director of LGBTQ+ Health in the Veterans Health Administration. He has authored two books on the evolutionary function of sexual attraction among humans and edited a text on human sexuality and a volume on adult transgender care for mental health professionals. Dr. Kauth has also published numerous academic papers on LGBTQ health, sexual health, and use of implementation strategies to change clinical practices.
