About Michael Kaeding

Michael Kaeding has more than 16 years of courtroom experience successfully resolving clients\' most challenging disputes, including complex financial services, antitrust, business, white collar criminal, intellectual property, technology, consumer class action, and products liability litigation. Mr. Kaeding has experience in all phases of trial and appellate practice, having tried cases to verdict and argued both state and federal appeals. Mr. Kaeding regularly acts as lead counsel in matters involving shareholder disputes and director and officer liability issues, including the defense of claims brought by the FDIC, and has defended investigations, enforcement actions, and civil lawsuits brought by the federal government. Mr. Kaeding also has extensive experience representing clients in connection with criminal investigations, including grand jury and post-indictment proceedings. Outside the courtroom, Mr. Kaeding leverages his litigation experience to help clients avoid liability through the implementation of proactive measures designed to reduce risk without interfering with strategic business and other objectives. Mr. Kaeding earned his J.D. from Emory University, where he regularly serves as a trial instructor for the university’s nationally recognized Trial Techniques program.
