ABOUT MICHAEL K. FAUNTROY

I provide value in three spaces: First, I am a scholar of American politics and African American political behavior, based at Howard University in Washington, D.C. I teach graduate and undergraduate students in a range of political science courses. I am the author of two books and numerous articles, book chapters, and opinion pieces that explore various topics including, but not limited to, domestic politics, governance, public policy, and African Americans. I also serve as Graduate Program Director at Howard, with oversight and management responsibility over M.A. and Ph.D. programs and more than 90 graduate students.Second, I am an experienced, prepared, and in-demand political analyst on television and radio with more than appearances on local, national, and international broadcasts. I am currently under contract with CTV News and CBC radio, both in Canada, with carveouts for American television and radio. I have appeared on nearly every major American radio and television network as well as outlets in France, Australia, England, the Middle East, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. I have also been quoted widely in a number of major American publications. I specialize in American elections, political parties, public policy making, African American politics, and interest group behavior. My analysis identifies and acknowledges strengths and flaws across the ideological spectrum.Third, I am a public speaker who lectures at colleges and universities, interest group meetings, and community-based organizations.
