ABOUT MICHAEL JEQUIER HONS

A data-driven, operations and logistics leader with an MSc in International Economics and 16 years’ experience of creating low-cost delivery solutions and highly efficient multi-modal supply chains focusing on customer experience and profitability. At Bolt.eu, experience includes blended P&L responsibility across EU and Africa for €90M ‘delivery cost as % of revenue\' and €110M ‘delivery fee’ revenue, pivoted the business towards ‘perfect order’ attainment to drive customer retention and increase revenue by 4%, a strong influencer and highly analytical, created the case and aligned Tech teams and other verticals to improve algorithmic batching to reduce delivery cost by 15%. A hands-on leader, at Amazon, was responsible for operational performance and execution of more than 500 collection routes per day (~90k parcels) injecting into 6 sort centres as well as last mile and returns performance through a network of over 60 delivery stations. Achieved a $3M RR cost saving through improving collections speed and improved returns network performance by ~30% through scaling best practice also worked closely with Account Management to identify and act against profitability outliers, customer pain points and drive improvements in collections performance, late orders and damages. Experienced in designing and rolling-out end-to-end supply chains, at Uber, secured a $2.4M budget to develop and roll-out a 3P partnership which successfully delivered PPE to 30K UK drivers, as a military officer, successfully built a supply chain from EU to Afghanistan which reduced cost by €6.2m.
