ABOUT MICHAEL JANICKI

Michael Janicki joined MJ Insurance in 2018 in a new role for the Risk Management department as director of risk services. This position is part of MJ Insurance’s continued effort to amplify its value proposition in the commercial insurance and risk management space. In this role, Mike will provide leadership and direction to the risk services department. A key strategy of the department is to work collaboratively with clients to enhance their risk management practices. The department provides industry-leading risk management consultation, services and resources to allow clients optimal flexibility in managing their risk while maintaining alignment with their business goals.Mike has over 20 years of experience in insurance and risk management. Prior to joining MJ Insurance, he held regional and corporate leadership positions for two regional commercial insurance carriers. Most recently, he served as managing director of risk control for FCCI Insurance Group. As managing director, he was responsible for leadership of the business unit and execution of the strategic direction for risk control across all operating territories. He earned his B.S. in Occupational Health & Safety and Insurance & Risk Management from Indiana State University and remains involved with ISU as an Advisory Board Member for the Insurance and Risk Management Department. He holds the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.
