About Michael Jacobson
I have been a doctor since 1982 and a retinal specialist since 1989. I have practiced in Metro Atlanta since 1991. My main focus is my clinical practice and helping to build Georgia Retina, PC into one of the most prestigious practices in the southeastern United States. We have 21 board-certified retinal specialists working out of 14 offices conveniently located around North Georgia. I have been a principal investigator of numerous clinical trials. I have been invited to speak at local, state, national, and international meetings. I have authored chapters in textbooks. I have published numerous articles, abstracts and papers in peer-reviewed journals.I have been recognized by my peers as a Castle Connolly TOP Doctor every year by my peers since 2011. In April 2019, I gained more national recognition by being featured in \"Who\'s Who in America 2020\" and more recently, I was featured in \"Who\'s Who in Medicine and Healthcare\". As of 2022, now listed as TOPDOC in \"The Atlantan\" besides Atlanta Magazine.Specialties.exclusively diseases and surgery of the Retina, Vitreous, and Macula. with a special interest in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment
