ABOUT MICHAEL J. WALSH
A proud twenty seven year accomplished leader in the NYPD with extensive knowledge in criminal and financial crime investigations. During my tenure, I have excelled in every position given due to my passionate approach to team building, strong work ethic, and always getting the job done. I currently work jointly with various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies proactively identifying Grand Larceny patterns, utilizing covert physical and electronic surveillance on high value targets. I supervise a Detective Squad consisting of three Sergeants and twenty Detective investigators ensuring all Detective Bureau management controls, integrity, and overtime programs are implemented and properly managed. I am a 9-11 first responder who arrived minutes after the first attack removing countless victims from Tower-2 to safety.I received both Honorable Mention Award from the NYPD Honor Committee and Sergeants Benevolent Association \"Heroism Award\" for the extraordinary act of bravery intelligently performed in the line of duty at imminent and personal danger to life. Recently graduated from the FBI National Academy Class-272 in Quantico, Virginia.
