About Michael Mayer
As an engineer with the County of San Bernardino’s Water Resources Division, I wear many hats — currently serving as the Groundwater Recharge Coordinator. I’m passionate about protecting our environment and ensuring communities have access to safe, clean drinking water.In this role, I collaborate with external government agencies to ensure County facilities remain in compliance with all relevant water policies and procedures.I’m also part of the team responsible for monitoring and maintaining the County’s rain gauge network — essentially, I count raindrops! More accurately, I collect, analyze, and validate rainfall data to ensure its accuracy and reliability, providing valuable insights to both internal and external clients.I’m driven by curiosity and continuous learning. Whether it’s taking new classes or connecting with other professionals in the field, I’m always looking for opportunities to grow, share knowledge, and collaborate on meaningful projects that support sustainable water management.
