I staff the California Health in All Policies (HiAP) Task Force, which works with more than 20 State agencies to incorporate health, equity, and environmental sustainability into decision-making across sectors to improve the social and material conditions that drive health. SGC facilitates the Task Force in close partnership with State of Equity (Public Health Institute) and the California Department of Public Health.SGC\'s Health and Equity Program (HEP) provides dedicated, General Fund staffing to embed health and racial equity into all facets of SGC, including policies, programs, operations, and initiatives. HEP leads the implementation of the SGC Racial Equity Action Plan and other racial equity advancement initiatives.

ABOUT MICHAEL J.
My career objective is to contribute to the empowerment of communities on the frontline of climate change and environmental hazards.I hold a BA in Urban and Environmental Policy and Spanish Studies from Occidental College and am currently serving as a CivicSpark Senior Climate Fellow at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health - Climate Change and Sustainability Program. In this post, I engage with various stakeholders in LA County around the health effects of climate change. My mission as a CivicSpark Fellow is to improve LACDPH\'s capacity to promote health equity, environmental justice, and climate action for all communities in LA County.
