Responsible for overseeing the creation, development, and implementation of the quality management system for a cannabis cultivation and processing company. Develop, manage, and lead a cross-functional team of employees in a small business setting (35 employees). Ensuring the business and products meet the requirements of Health Canada Cannabis Act and Regulations. Management of projects in biotechnology, indoor agriculture, marketing, procurement and inventory, quality control, regulatory affairs, software implementation, and human resources.Drive continuous improvement initiatives including GACP certification, leading KPI development, and coordinating data driven decision making projects.Communicating with third-parties to develop business opportunities, coordinate onboarding of customers and suppliers, and establish operational schedules and logistics.Identify and respond to risks through investigation and coordination with staff.Receive and respond to quality complaints, and ensure operational adjustments are made and monitored.Prioritization of multiple projects, operational scheduling, staff management, regular product review and release, and other business needs.Adapt to and drive change - leading change management through engaging with employees and managers.
