I am an Independent Security & Risk Consultant with a track record of helping UK Government, FCDO, Home Office, international donors, NGOs, and corporate clients deliver safer, more resilient programmes in fragile, high-risk, and conflict-affected regions.My expertise spans:• Conflict Stabilisation & Security Sector Reform (SSR) – programme design, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation.• Threat & Risk Analysis – serious organised crime, counterterrorism, illicit flows, and complex security environments.• Leadership Development & Mentoring – supporting senior police, military, and government leaders to drive organisational change.• Project & Programme Management – risk-based delivery, assurance, and evaluation aligned to donor requirements.• Crisis Response & Maritime Security – operational planning, interdiction, and resilience training.My background includes service as a Royal Navy Officer and a senior UK Police Officer, followed by extensive consultancy in security, stabilisation, and risk management across The Horn of Africa, West Africa, Middle East, the Caribbean, and other fragile states.I direct Poseidon Risk & Security Ltd (PRS), providing specialist security risk management, programme design and delivery, and advisory services. I also lead Sailhunter Ltd, an RYA-Recognised Training Centre providing RYA sailing, powerboat, and maritime safety training, online and in-classroom, for individuals, corporate teams, and universities.
