ABOUT MICHAEL HIGGS

My career began as a Motorman and Floorhand on an offshore drilling rig learning the equipment and practices involved in drilling and servicing wells. I then moved into the field of offshore construction, where I learned process piping, valves, structures, and production equipment. After working hard and learning quickly, I was able to become a Production Operator where I worked my way up to Lead Operator/PIC. After eleven years of working in the Gulf of Mexico, I decided to try something new and accepted employment with an agricultural equipment dealer. I learned quickly and again made myself an asset but missed the atmosphere and challenges of working in the oil and gas industry. My reputation and relationships allowed me to return to the oil & gas industry as a Production Operations Superintendent for a company I had worked with for many years.
