   As the Development and Sustainability Officer for ASP’s THRIVE Program (Transforming Homes and Rebuilding in Vulnerable Environments), I am responsible for securing the funding and building the partnerships necessary to ensure the long-term success of THRIVE.THRIVE is an initiative focused on strengthening disaster resilience across Central Appalachia by transforming how we address housing before, during, and after disaster events. Through this work, I:Cultivate and steward donor relationships to sustain ASP’s THRIVE Program through 2029 and beyond.Secure financial support for permanent, sustainable housing solutions following natural disasters.Assist with efforts to build a consortium of leaders, experts, and organizations to share best practices and lessons learned in disaster housing recovery.Support the development and launch of Rapid Rebuild, a practical training curriculum and toolkit for local officials and community leaders to accelerate recovery efforts after disasters.Collaborate across departments and partner organizations to expand ASP’s regional hubs in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia, with the goal of scaling future expansion.Communicate THRIVE’s mission and impact to donors, stakeholders, and community members, ensuring continuous improvement and community-centered growth.Our vision is to ensure that long-term recovery begins the moment disaster strikes, helping communities not just recover — but truly thrive.
