ABOUT MICHAEL HENSCHEL
As the Director at C-CORE, a not-for-profit research and development corporation, I lead a team of experts in providing innovative solutions for remote sensing, geoscience, and engineering applications. With over 16 years of experience in the field, I have a strong background in data analysis, requirements analysis, and interferometry, as well as a passion for exploring new ways of observing and understanding the earth and ocean processes from space and airborne platforms. I have contributed to several key projects and publications that demonstrate the value and potential of remote sensing technologies for various sectors and domains, such as environmental monitoring, disaster management, resource exploration, and coastal mapping. One of my proudest achievements was receiving the A.I. Levorsen Memorial Award for the best paper presented at the 2014 Pacific Section AAPG Annual Meeting, where I showcased the use of synthetic aperture radar for detecting oil seeps in the offshore California. My mission is to leverage my expertise and creativity to deliver cutting-edge solutions that address the needs and challenges of our clients and partners.
