About Michael Hennessy

Michael Hennessy is a Managing Director and the CAO for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He collaborates across the firm and with its support partners to help deliver the best of the Morgan Stanley to its clients, as well as drive transformational change across the organization. Prior to his current position, he had various roles including COO for Corporate & Institutional Solutions, Head of Wealth Management’s Operational Risk activities, the COO for Wealth Management Capital Markets and responsibility for the integration efforts associated with the acquisitions of E*TRADE, Solium and Smith Barney. Mr. Hennessy received an MBA from Columbia University, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Yale University. He is passionate about giving back to the communities that he is a part of, and his civic and volunteer activities support organizations that focus on childhood development activities that build confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. He serves on the boards of the New England Sailing and Science Foundation, the 50 Vanderbilt Foundation, and L’Association Class40.
