Arlington/Lexington, MA, US

I am the assistant to the Resident Engineer. We are working on the Route 2A bridge project over I-95/MA-128 in Lexington, MA, where the bridges over the highway are being fully replaced, two rotaries are being installed, with one on either side, new drainage is being installed, and then new resurfacing of the road itself and the highway below. I assist the Resident Engineer in ways such as overseeing the work done at the job site, doing Field Inspection Reports, which is where everything that happens on a particular day is put down and put into their system, and checking calculations for the Resident Engineer for things such as costs of certain aspects of the project. Most importantly, I am learning about everything that goes on in the field to be able to use in my career moving forward.
