In my current position, as an Application Consultant my main responsibilities include optimizing surgical workflows in order to best integrate Brainlab’s robotic and navigation technology, providing on-site clinical support to Neuro, Spine, and ENT surgeons, and installing/servicing BrainLab’s vast variety of offerings. Additionally I have extensive experience with the entire 510(k) process with a focus in reprocessed devices. I’ve acted as project manager to obtain FDA clearance for 6 separate devices ranging from intravascular ultrasound catheters used for intravascular mapping to RF ablation catheters used for varicose vein removal. I have led the development of two novel technologies including one that allowed re-use of SUDs and one that quantified the performance of each and every element of a 360 degree (multiplexed) intravascular ultrasound device. During my studies at the University of Cincinnati, I led the development of an improved Pectus bar used for the treatment of severe cases of Pectus Excavatum. We worked with a world-leading trauma surgeon at UC children’s hospital to develop this device after observing a multitude of Nuss Procedures.
