   VP Information Technology (2001 to Present) Develop, execute and support all IT planning and operations for this manufacturing company with 10 U.S. branches and 2 Mexico branches. Full accountability for the overall strategy of technology acquisitions and integration required to compete on a global platform. Manage IT vendor relationships, perform risk assessments against planned milestones, manage IT capital expenditures and coordinate external dependencies. Report directly to the CFO. Led the organization through a series of upgrades to capitalize on emerging technologies and application enhancements, including the replacement of obsolete systems in all 12 locations. Designed and coordinated procedures through out the IT organization to become compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley. Implemented wireless technology at all of our branches secured by MAC addresses and WEP keys allowing laptops and PDA devices to be mobile throughout the facilities. Implemented a data communication strategy to change from Frame Relay to MPLS which resulted in a saving of approximately annually. Developed and implemented a data collection system on all plant floors utilizing PLC technology to collect shot counts from the die cast machines to record pieces and update inventory in the ERP system eliminating inaccuracies of manual recording. Coordinated with outside service to implement new technology that allows branches to view all die cast machines from any remote location so branch managers can monitor downtime. Implemented and managed new procedure to eliminate preprinted forms such as invoices, packing slips, etc. and use technology to print forms along with the data resulting in an annual savings of Incorporated LEAN tools including Kaizen events, value stream mapping and Strategic Deployment.
