About Michael Habib
I am an experienced professional scientist, writer, consultant, and college professor. I work in academic, government, game development, motion picture, television, and museum industries. I bring a diverse array of expertise to challenging projects, including extensive experience in biology, paleontology, art, animation, and biomechanics. In addition to forty peer-reviewed papers, I regularly write for Scientific American and provide editorial expertise for National Geographic Magazine. My discoveries have been featured in Scientific American, Popular Science, National Geographic, Discover Magazine, and the Economist. I am an experienced animation and creature design consultant, having worked on over a dozen projects, including Beast Legends, Clash of the Dinosaurs, Dinosaur Revolution, Monster Tracker, Walking with Dinosaurs, and Prehistoric Planet. My current book, Flying Monsters: Illustrating Flying Vertebrates, illustrated by internationally regarded creature artist Terryl Whitlatch, will be published later this year by Design Studio Press.

Provided storyboards, animation innovation, and scientific content consultation for hit miniseries, Prehistoric Planet, created by BBC and executive produced by Jon Favreau. Series carried by Apple TV+. I developed custom functions to drive compelling and authentic asset motions in aquatic and aerial environments, as well as surface interfaces. Communicated results visually and mathematically for maximum client flexibility.
