About Michael Lam

Life threatening diseases have impacted friends and family throughout my life. My drive and passion to make great medicines stems from these experiences. I have 16 years of industry experience, spanning pharma, biotech, and startups, building and leading groups specializing in gene editing, small molecule discovery and translational science. During this time, I have come to realize that success is derived from effective communication, compromise and collaboration among team members. A great team is able to overcome many challenges and many challenges there are.We all realize the importance of pairing the ideal medicine for the right patient. However, only now are there technologies that enable humanity a translational understanding of complex disease biologies. Pairing with emerging bioinformatics approaches will allow for the deployment of novel modalities for potential cures. With hard work and determination, a clearer path will emerge for the successful treatment of human disease.
