I am a father, grandfather and husband, small business owner, and a certified life coach. I graduated from Friends University Wichita Kansas with a BA & MBA in Business Management and worked in the Retail and Utility energy industry for years.I’ve been blessed to see and deal with much in my life as a husband, father of four, and grandfather (PAWPAW) of seven.I have volunteered many years in programs such as the nationally recognized organization, Higher M-pact, that assists and guides urban core youth with their challenges in life. Being a board member in this organization has helped me to see the gift I have in motivating those of all ages. It has also been very rewarding to observe growth in my mentees along with their positive feedback. Experiences such as this has guided me in my decision to become a life coach.For many years, I have strived to help people push through the big and small speed bumps and challenges of their daily lives with positive energy so they may live a more enjoyable and fulfilling life for themselves and for others whom they encounter.In 2019, I was introduced to Life Coaching. This gentle yet supportive approach has helped me to understand how powerful our thoughts and beliefs can be. At times, the ruts of life can cause individuals to get stuck with a need to be nudged towards a positive way of thinking. Through Life Coaching, I am able to guide my clients to the positive thinking that they already possess within themselves.I specialize in (but not limited to) coaching life transitions, grief, and relationships. I received my Life Coaching Certification through the Ipec Institute which is a recognized life coaching school by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).What is Life Coaching? A life coach works with healthy individuals who are seeking personal or professional growth. A Coach does not diagnose or give expert advice. Life Coaching is about meeting an individual where they are today and looking at what is working in their life along with what obstacles, thoughts, or beliefs may be getting in the way of where they want to be. Coaches do this by asking thought-provoking questions and you, the client, provides the answers. Life Coaching is NOT therapy. As a life coach, I believe that each person knows exactly what to do and what will work best. Just as an athlete needs a coach to assist them in drawing out the best in themselves, likewise, it’s beneficial to have an objective, non-judgmental, non-biased individual to support us as we strive to bring out the best in our lives.
