   The Plastics Exchange is a patent-protected marketplace for trading physically delivered commodity grade resins and is a trusted source of market intelligence. Our integrated clearinghouse guarantees price, delivery and payment, while keeping counterparties anonymous. We have trading relationships with most major North American distributors, resellers, traders and exporters of plastics resin – establishing an unmatched cross-section of industry supply. Through these relationships, every North American producer’s resin makes its way through our exchange, some directly, some indirectly. Each day we gather spot availability from these trading partners and post the offers for sale on our website’s trading floor - generally maintaining 15-25 million lbs of material available for immediate shipment.As a market maker, The Plastics Exchange quotes a live bid/ask for trading 9 standardized contracts of commodity grade resins. To assure liquidity in our market, we maintain our own inventory for each resin that we trade, generally around 10 million lbs, packaged and ready to ship. The Plastics Exchange has completed more than transactions, delivering nearly a billion pounds of resin to hundreds of customers. As our business is spot there is a story behind each deal - whether it is to fill an urgent last-minute need to keep a plant in resin, help a supplier/producer liquidate surplus material or save a processor some money by sourcing spot – every trade is special, quiet and anonymous.
