Deputy Scout Executive & Chief Operations Officer (COO) @Scouting America, Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council
San Jose, CA, US
In the role of Deputy Scout Executive & COO at the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council, I have had the privilege of leading transformative initiatives that directly impact youth and community engagement. One of my proudest achievements has been spearheading multimillion-dollar campaigns that not only improved our facilities but also expanded our program offerings significantly. The launch of the Eagle Achievement Camp was a game-changer, resulting in a new program with an NPS of 9.3 for a sold-out group.Managing camp operations has been both challenging and rewarding; overseeing two major sites required a keen focus on safety compliance and infrastructure enhancements. This effort resulted in a 21% reduction in incident reports, thereby ensuring a safer environment for all participants. Additionally, I played a crucial role in developing strategic plans that grew our council\'s net assets from $20 million to an impressive $53 million over five years. Training volunteers has also been a key focus; coordinating programs for over individuals improved our service delivery quality while boosting volunteer retention rates. The blend of strategic leadership with hands-on operations is what drives me every day in this role.Competencies: Fundraising & Capital Projects, Program Development, Strategic Planning, Camp Operations Management, Volunteer Training
