Returned to my position of Deputy Fire Chief after almost eight months of fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of both Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief. During this time I had the pleasure of working along with representatives of the SPFFA, successfully negotiating an appendix to the Collective Agreement which will ensure Acting positions are filled by qualified staff. I also had the privilege of teaming up with our Corporate Services (Tax) department to deliver smoke and carbon monoxide alarm safety information to residents of our community.
